There are a handful of places in Alto that truly capture the spirit of our mountain community — and Enchanted Vine is absolutely one of them. After a long day of showing homes around Alto and Ruidoso, walking properties, answering questions about the local market, and helping families picture their …next chapter, this is one of my favorite spots to wind down. A glass of wine to slow the pace… or a cocktail during the busy season when everything is moving fast. It’s the perfect way to transition from work mode back to simply enjoying where we live. What makes it extra special is the atmosphere. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and uniquely Alto. The goats, donkeys, and geese wandering nearby make it such a fun experience — especially when I bring my daughter or when traveling family (and their kids) are visiting. It’s always a hit and such a sweet reminder of why life here feels different. It’s also a wonderful venue for celebrations. Whether you’re toasting a home that just sold, gathering with friends, or marking a milestone, Enchanted Vine creates the kind of setting where memories are made. We’re fortunate to have businesses like this in Alto — places that bring people together and add heart to our community. If you haven’t been yet, make it a priority. It’s part of what makes living (and working) here so special.

Such a fun time! All the wines are made with NM grapes which I thought was cool and they were surprisingly very good! I did the $15 tasting flight. There was a wedding happening so I wasn’t able to go into the barn area, but I will definitely come back some time when I’m in town! Staff was so wo…nderful and friendly

This winery is a hidden gem. The wine is great, staff is wonderful and the many optional activities and rescue petting zoo were an added bonus. Sarah helped us with our wine tasting and she was so nice and good at making perfect recommendations. We also had a charcuterie board and Buffalo Chicken… soup. Both were wonderful. We will definitely go back.

An absolute must stop and taste, if you are in the area of Ruidoso/Alto. We started with a simple tasting of four wines and left with 8 bottles. Our server was so good at selecting recommendations for us, she is very knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. We loved learning about New Mexi…co wines and are hooked on Noisy Water winery.
