This was a delightful stop. There is a lot of dry/blm camping options around. But it was toasty and we wanted to plug in for our pup while we went into the NP. Nothing special about where you park/camp here- but the actual property is delightful. Pretty ponds and lots of wildlife- we saw monarchs, t…urkeys, owls, havalinas, etc). Staff is friendly and helpful. And it’s for a good cause - it’s primarily a non profit. Clean facility/showers. Thank you for a calm and quiet stay.

My husband and I and our friends spent two nights there in our motorhomes. What a great escape from the busy highway and noisy campgrounds. We walked all around the vast acreage and enjoyed the wildlife. The few people camping or staying at at the ranch as well as the residents of the ranch were all… pleasant. Kelly Johnson, manager, was most hospitable and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the property as well as the area in general. Ideally located for a visit to Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe National Park. Would highly recommend Washington Ranch for peace, quiet, and a unique camping experience.

Absolutely phenomenal experience! Was looking for a good, safe place to stay when coming to explore Carlsbad Caverns National Park, and they provided cute, New Mexican cabins and rooms and a reasonable price. We were able to check in pretty late, after exploring White Sands on our way down, and chec…kout was also very easy. The grounds are also gorgeous! Will definitely be coming back. Major shoutout to Kelley for helping us schedule our reservation- we really appreciated the personal communication. Can’t wait to come back!

This place is amaizing. We booked and stayed during our weekend advanture with our friends. On the arriving day, I could not locate the email in regards to the information on this facility. We stayed at the RV site, I needed to charge my Tesla and my friends needed for their RVs. I called the p…hone number that was listed and got a call back from Mr. Johnson on the weekend during their off hours. He was very helpful and gave me all the information that I needed. Restroom and shower is very clean. Next day we had a apportunity to expore this ranch. Mr.Johnson was kindly to gave us a tour of this place. Great history. We will stay at this place again next time.
