My wife and I had a very relaxing stay here. The staff was professional, the property feels like a wellness retreat and the food is excellent. Beautiful architecture and decor. We loved the soaking tub in-room and the salt water pool. Lots of nice thoughtful touches throughout the experience. Only… recommendations for improvement would be to update the a/v. We had some trouble connecting to wifi and the TV had a very dated directv system. There are also some minor maintenance things like a missing tile in the bathroom and some loose fixtures like smoke detectors kind of hanging from the ceiling. Not a huge deal. Overall great experience.

Monte Sagrado is definitely a place you stay for the experience. It feels like a secluded, luxurious retreat while still being conveniently close to downtown. From the moment you arrive, you immediately feel the warmth and excellent customer service at the front desk. We were able to take advantage… of the shuttle service downtown, which I would highly recommend—it made getting around incredibly easy. Our room was very clean, cozy, and well appointed, with a beautiful bathroom, a fireplace, and all the amenities you could want. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and overall the property gives you the feeling that you’re somewhere truly special. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay.

I stayed here several years ago...well over 10 years ago. I had forgotten how nice this resort is. I was disappointed that the spa and pool facilities were not working at the time of my visit. But was fairly compensated for not having these facilities available. I really enjoyed my stay. Staff …is so friendly and helpful. Facility is beautiful. Artwork is amazing. And the gardener is a magician! Keep up the good work.

Overall, a fantastic place to go on vacation, especially a couples romantic retreat. We got the king bed room and had some really great features in the room: The hot tub was the centerpiece of the room and was a great addition. I will mention that the maintenance for this was a little lacking but …still a nice experience. The timed fireplace was also really great and kept the room at a nice temperature when we did use it. The view out onto the central field was really nice with a little balcony. The hotel itself had some cosy extras, the spa is beautiful and the service was attentive. The pool! My goodness, the pool was amazing and in October we had the whole pool to ourselves. The only small thing I noticed, that I think they could improve on is maintenance as I mentioned earlier. The fountain pipes on some of the water features were clogged, the hot tub waters jets were clogged with dirt and the faucet was very loose. I do recommend this location. Really lovely getaway.
