We have two young kids (preschool/elementary aged) and hadn't had pictures taken in many years (really since the kids were born). My kids don't always act the best when its time to take a picture! So, I was a little hesitant to do family photos. Yvette suggested a spot in the desert and we could j…ust play with the kids. I was hoping for some non-posed photos and more contemporary looks than portrait photos so it sounded good. Of course, on the way to the shoot my daughter became a little nervous and wasn't acting like herself. We met with Yvette, and began walking through the desert. Yvette was great at interacting with my kids. The pictures were semi-posed, in that she would direct you somewhere but was very non-invasive in her picture taking, so you weren't feeling like it was awkward. There were several moments during the shoot that my daughter was being "a stinker" in my opinion and kind of doing her own thing, I truly did not expect to see good photos from those moments. I liked how Yvette interacted with the kids and myself-very professional, yet calm and good natured. She was able to roll with the punches--for example she allowed my daughter to pick up sticks and flowers and take pictures during some of her being silly. Her timeliness in completing the photos was great too. Once I saw the photos I was truly surprised. She did an amazing job. The kids personalities truly shine through. The pictures where my daughter was playing around and not really doing what was expected turned out amazing. She caught some great moments and some great photographs. I recommend Yvette as a photographer. I knew I liked her work in her portfolio but was truly amazed at how she made our family pictures personal, beautiful and fun. It was a good experience and I do recommend her for family photographs! I have already told friends about the experience. It was fun, easy and turned out better than I expected!

I contacted Yvette after admiring her work with two of my friends' families. She took time to get to know our family's personality and suggested locations that suited our preferences, and helped coordinate clothing. On the day of the session, she was fun and engaging with all of us. Most importantly…, she captured the children in candid moments that are missed in traditional, posed shots. I was thrilled with Yvette's work and will definitely use her in the future as well as recommend her to others!

I had maternity pictures taken by BG Photography. Going into the shoot, I was afraid of looking cheesy, posed, stressed, giant, etc... Thankfully, Yvette gave incredible direction, and was so wonderful at catching the little moments, while making me feel at ease and beautiful. BG Photography was so much fun to work with! We never felt uncomfortable or awkward during our shoot and Yvette's professional yet kind attitude was so appreciated!
