We used Shelby for month of/ day of planning for our wedding in Santa Fe. I planned the wedding from out of town so it was fantastic to have Shelby for recommendations of vendors in town. When it came to the month and day of, she was effective, always calm and handled the curve balls that my event t…hrew at her including negotiating with a picky event venue and a fire alarm during dinner! We are so grateful we had her service.

Shelby was the best! We had two venues, one for the ceremony and another for the reception, and she made sure the whole day ran perfectly. I could not recommend Shelby enough!! She is kind, confident, thorough, and very knowledgeable at her job. She had so much experience and perspective to share when talking through decisions with us, which was enormously helpful (especially when planning a destination wedding, where we were less fami…liar). She was so patient and communicative; always responsive and comforting to our hundreds of questions or concerns.
Shelby strategizes and executes well. She worked well with the other vendors and took on the bulk of the communication leading up to the wedding, which was so appreciated during this time. I always felt more calm and prepared after working with Shelby.
On our wedding day, I have no idea if anything went wrong -- it absolutely could have, but Shelby and April were so calm, organized, and positive, that I could not tell. Their skill allowed my family and I to focus on the celebration of the day without having to think about any details. Shelby and April even went out of their way to prepare taper candles, which are extremely tedious, so that my family did not have to.
I am so thankful that we were able to work with Shelby. She is clearly a pro at her job and is amazing to work with. Highly, highly recommend!!

As a wedding pro that has had the honor of working with Shelby a few times, you as a prospective couple should take a second and take to heart this review. We have been filming weddings since 2009 and the value of a planner like Shelby is invaluable. You have most likely spent a long time dreaming o…f what your wedding day is going to be like, you know exactly what you want or need help in completing what you are dreaming about. In talking with couples they imagine laughter, a sense of calm, family and friends relaxing and enjoying what you all have planned and it is a beautiful vision. What couples don't realize is with out a planner like Shelby, all that responsibility is on your family or a venue event manager (That also has 2-5 events happening at the same time or giving tours during your wedding day) or even worse...YOU. I can't imagine that kind of stress. But, sadly, I see the effects of it numerous times a year. Details are forgotten, parts of your day run late and I have seen what it does to those dreams. Shelby is a careful and masterful planner that communicates well with all the wedding pros that support your dreams. She has a creative mind to enhance your vision and make it extra special. She is kind and is focused on your wedding day and she willing takes on all that stress so YOU do not have to and she does it because she enjoys it! Imagine that! Shelby Your Day Events is a WORTHY investment.
