Alex and Matt are truly a dynamic duo, and we could not be more grateful we chose them as our wedding videographers. From the very first interaction, Alex was the sweetest, calmest, most reassuring presence. She is the kind of person you instantly feel comfortable around on such an emotional, high e…nergy day. Matt has an incredible eye for video. The way he captures moments, both big and subtle, is unreal. Nothing ever felt staged or forced. Working with Matthew and Alexandra from Silk and Stone Studio has been one of the absolute highlights of our wedding journey. My fiancé and I went into our engagement shoot a little nervous—he was especially hesitant because we don’t usually take photos and never really feel photogenic.
From the mo…ment we arrived, Matthew and Alexandra made us feel completely at ease. They are not only incredibly talented but also hilarious, kind, and so down-to-earth. Within minutes, we were laughing nonstop, feeling like we were just hanging out with friends who happened to have a camera.
By the end of the shoot, my fiancé turned to me in the car and said, “That was so much fun—if I knew it’d be like that, I’d do this more often.” This morning, we were still giggling together about how much fun we had—it wasn’t just a photo session, it was a memory we’ll hold on to forever. These are the photos we’ll show our kids one day, and we are beyond grateful that they’ll come from such an authentic, joyful experience.

Matt did an amazing job with our engagement photos in Lyons! He was great at sharing helpful information ahead of time and offering advice during the session on poses and places to take pictures. He was open to having our dogs there for the shoot which was so great to get family photos with them. He… has a great eye for lighting and angles that really captured the moment and our love. He was also really quick in sharing the final edited photos which was awesome to not have to wait too long. We’re using him as our videographer for our wedding and we can’t wait to see what he captures and creates!
